I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious breakfast served every morning, and the cozy electric fireplace in my room made for a great atmosphere. There’s a lovely garden area and a relaxing sun terrace for guests to unwind. Just a small note, I wish there were a few more basics in the bathroom, but it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed my stay! 😊

Perfect retreat for couples

The balcony view from the room was just stunning! ! I sat there with a glass of bourbon, as I watched the sun setting behind the hills and listened to the bird songs, it was a moment you don’t forget easily.

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but you get what you pay for.

Several necessities were missing, like drinking cups in the bathroom and a light fixture that needed a bulb, which could have made things more convenient. The steep stairs to the balcony room might put off some guests, and there were instances of no cell coverage in the area, making navigation trickier than expected. Additionally, the lack of breakfast on a morning due to power outages was disappointing.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to stay in a historic home with cozy vintage decor. The breakfast was outstanding, and it was wonderful to have such positive interactions with other guests. The location is isolated but perfect for a quiet retreat, just a short drive to Berea and Richmond.

The Deluxe Double Room was pretty spacious and had a lovely old country charm, which made it comfortable. The decor was beautifully done, and the king-size bed was super comfy. It was nice to have a peek of the historical vibes with the original decor. Just a heads up, the place is kind of isolated, which I loved, but it might not be everyone's vibe. Also, I wish someone had greeted us to help us settle in better, but honestly, the comfy atmosphere made up for it!

It was just an excellent fit for a mini-break over the weekend in Paint Lick with good value for price. The electric fireplace in the room kept us toasty and added to the cozy vibe. Make sure to try the delicious homemade breakfast offered each morning.
